Rooftop Campout
We are proud to join the many other Canadian IAFF affiliates who have committed to their own Rooftop Campouts for the united cause in fighting Muscular Dystrophy. Join us this February 21st until Feb 24th 2019 at NVD Mainsteele building.
Who we work with
Their MISSION:
To enhance the lives of those affected with neuromuscular disorders by continually working to provide ongoing support & resources while relentlessly searching for a cure through well funded research.
What its all about
It’s been over a decade since Rooftop Campouts were introduced in Alberta as another way for Fire Fighters, who have partnered with us since 1954, to challenge their communities to raise awareness and funds for Muscular Dystrophy Canada. Rooftop Campouts have expanded nationwide and you can find one in every province throughout Canada.
Why we do it
It has been 65 years since the partnership between Fire Fighters and Muscular Dystrophy Canada began, and Whitehorse Fire Fighters were involved as far back as 1973. Since then, Whitehorse Fire Fighters have raised over $35,000 in support of Muscular Dystrophy Canada and have set a goal of $2,000 for 2019.
